Employees
All employees who want to use a product owned by BRP must complete the required autocertification for that product. Each autocertification is valid for three (3) years.
Employees participating in a ride must assign a group leader who must:
- be autocertified
- complete the three group ride checklists.
BRP recommends that users complete a product checklist prior to each ride.

Depending on the Health and Safety standards applicable in your region, BRP may set up a specific program on the use of products in the workplace, in addition to the self-certification requirements. Please contact your manager.
Group ride organization
A ride involving 4 products or more is considered a Group Ride.
Groups must select a group leader who must be certified.
A Group Leader is responsible for filling in the Group Ride Checklists:

If you have novice or inexperienced riders in your group, the Before Your Ride Checklist will help you integrate them in the group.
Non Employees
The process varies according to whether the non-employee is a current owner of a similar product or whether this would be a first-time use. This is not intended to replace procedures already in place for such events as Demo Tours, etc.

How do I treat a non-employee who is not an owner of a similar product but is a current user? Does s/he really have to go through the First-time user section?
Common sense will dictate if the non-employee is familiar enough with the content. However, if this person is not an owner, revision of the content included in the First-time user section is a good preparation for the ride and is recommended.
First-Time Users
Non-employees who have never tried these products before and who wish to use a BRP-owned product are required to:
- Read specific sections of the Operator's guide
- Watch the safety video
- Review the checklist*
Please note that once a checklist is submitted, any BRP employee consulting the Ride Safely Page/Website will have access to the following information: your name, email adress and the submission date.
Current Owners of a Similar Product
Non-employees who are already a current owner of a similar product must be briefed using the appropriate checklist.
